ABOUT 42 SECONDS
THE STORY

Screenwriter Judith Eisenberg's drama takes the audience through a traumatic event -- a mass shooting -- and the personal struggles of three survivors in the aftermath. Through mutual support, the survivors learn to confront their fears and take a first step toward healing.

THE MISSION

We're making 42 SECONDS to give hope to the victims of trauma. With support, self-compassion and hard work, trauma can be healed.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
As of mid-August, 2023 post-production is largely complete and festival submissions have begun. It's an exciting time. We believe 42 SECONDS will do very well, but it's important to submit to as many appropriate festivals as possible so if you are able, please help us with our festival submission fees by making a tax-deductible contribution today. And please join our email list.

Once you're on our email list, you'll receive periodic updates, including information on festival appearances. We'll also make the film available to all donors for online viewing once our festival run is well underway.

Thank you for your consideration!

"How do we begin to comprehend the trauma of violence? 42 Seconds delivers stark and riveting portrayals of three survivors of a mass shooting who return to the scene of the crime. They relive the horror of the incident in excruciating detail. There is catharsis here, but, more importantly, there is, in the sharing of the experience, a bonding of souls that is, at its core, an affirmation of life."
